A Refugee From His Race: Albion W. Tourgée and His Fight Against White Supremacy

Book Talk & Signing by JVP – DC Member Carolyn L. Karcher

Come support JEWISH VOICE FOR PEACE - DC Metro’s championship of equal rights for all, both in Israel/Palestine and in the US. Half the proceeds of book sales will go toward our chapter.

Acclaimed by African Americans as their most devoted ally and reviled by white supremacists as a race traitor, Tourgée campaigned side by side with Black activists against disfranchisement, segregation, and lynching. Karcher will speak about what we in the Palestine solidarity movement can learn from Tourgée’s alliance with African Americans.

Refreshments will be served.
