Journalists Mahmoud al-Kumi and Hussam Salama were assasinated by the IDF.

Journalists Mahmoud al-Kumi and Hussam Salama were assasinated by the IDF.

The Newseum is dedicated to the freedom and rights of the press. Then why is it hosting a talk by Israel's former IDF spokesperson, Avital Leibovich, who vigorously defended the IDF's targeted killing of 3 Palestinian journalists during Israel's 2012 assault on Gaza? Human Rights Watch (HRW) found that these assassinations violated international law that protects journalists.

Join JVP – DC Metro to stand for Palestinian and journalist rights! Co-sponsored by the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation.
